Taproot Consulting is the practice of consultant Beth Trigg.
Beth grew up in the Southern Appalachian mountains of Western North Carolina and has worked with organizations and communities in WNC for more than 20 years. Grounded in a deep commitment to equity and social change, Beth works with organizations, collaboratives, and movements to build capacity, create consensus, access resources, and develop strategy.
Beth's approach to working with clients is open, participatory, collaborative, and creative. With roots in popular education, anti-oppression organizing, and formal and informal consensus process, Beth draws on a lifetime of experience as a participant in movements and organizations.
As a facilitator, Beth offers structure and space for groups to build power, hone skills, and create the change that they envision together.

A taproot is a strong, central root from which other roots sprout. Plants with taproots are strongly anchored in the ground. A taproot can break through and grow around obstacles, and like all roots, draws nourishment and resources from the soil around it to feed the plant and enable it to live, grow, and flourish.
